To enable post-course practice, Stone of Arc holds demand-driven practice events allowing those with some experience to refine and develop their skills on our training centre walls. Tools, facilities, feedback, and lunch/refreshments are also provided.

Following our Intensive course in October 2024 Stone of Arc is hosting a very rare opportunity for those keen to develop their skills, knowledge and experience.

From Fri 25 Oct to Thu 31 Oct, the training centre will be open for 7 whole days of practice.

This event is open to anyone with some level of prior experience, and opportunities will be tailored to suit. It will give participants the chance to work alongside more experienced, professional wallers constructing a mouthwatering array of features, including; arches, bee boles, curves, pillars and a step stile, with some random walling and stone shaping thrown in for good measure.

Whether you just want to come for a day or two or all 7.. it's up to you, but if walling's your thing or you'd like it to be, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

9am - 4pm daily - Lunch and tools provided. You only need to bring a hat, water bottle, gloves and sturdy/steel-toed boots.

"Walling to me is wholly engaging. It’s my gym, my art class, my mindfulness session and my trip to the country all rolled into one. It requires time, precision and order, patience, resilience, and attention to detail. It connects the past with the future and delivers a beautiful, sustainable structure and unrivalled sense of pride and satisfaction".
