DSWA Craftsman Certification Scheme courses – Initial

In the presence of the Examiner/s, candidates are required to strip down and rebuild a straight-forward free-standing 2.5 square metre section of wall within a single 7 hour period.

Initial – Level 1 Certificate
The standard required places emphasis on a sound and solid construction rather than on a quality finish. Candidates must obtain the minimum mark in each section and an overall pass mark of at least 50 in order to gain certification.

The Practice day provides participants with a detailed insight into the standards required by the DSWA, an opportunity to practice various elements of the test, and guidance around speed and efficiency. To have the best possible chance of success participants also have the option of booking further practice days including a mock test for an additional $220 per day. To ensure the highest standards are met - all courses, practice events and test days are delivered by certified DSWA Instructors/Examiners and align with DSWA structural principles.

Accommodation Details

Rustic Onsite Accommodation

A range of rustic onsite accommodation is available from double/triple rooms to camping (all with shared bathroom).

Four rooms are available, 2 double and 2 twin/triple

All rooms come with aircon, heating, linen and amenities.

A basic continental breakfast is included for all overnight guests.

Extended visits welcome

There is much to enjoy in the surrounding area including bush walks, cycle trails, kayak trails, fishing, and cave exploration to name a few.
