Building a Keystone Arch

This course introduces the use of a former. You will learn how to create and set up a former, how to build over it, and remove it.

$620

You will also focus on the selection, shaping, and fitting of keystones and how they are integrated into the overall structure.

Our Introductory courses provide participants with enough knowledge and experience to be able to accurately identify traditional walling methods, commence a basic private project, and pursue further learning.

This 4-day Intensive allows participants to become fully immersed in the ancient techniques required to shape stone, construct strong wall heads and curves and retaining walls. A practical course that will provide participants with wide ranging knowledge and skills to practise and develop.

If you’re interested in the Intensive course but have already completed one or more of the included elements, we can arrange alternative skill development options for you.
