Stone of Arc is hosting this free event that promises an exciting array of stoney activities and attractions for all ages, celebrating the ancient craft of dry stone construction.
The Launch of The Dry Stone Way
The Dry Stone Way is one of only two dry stone feature trails in the world, incorporating five impressive installations around the town of Wellington, NSW. Utilising QR code technology people will be able to follow the map to discover the features and learn the fascinating stories behind each construction, whilst encountering wildlife, rivers, mountains, canoes, totems, and even a pint, all crafted from dry stone.
There will also be physical maps and a treasure hunt quest available from the training centre, the Western Gallery, local Visitors centre and other locations around the town.

Stone of Arc is celebrating 8 Years of Dry Stone Education, by opening the training centre for people to come and experience what one of only three dry stone training centres in the world has to offer.
Visitor’s will have the opportunity to view a diverse range of dry stone masterpieces, including arches, pillars, curves, seats, herringbone panels and many other features and training walls.
You will also be able to learn about the history of dry stone construction, watch live demonstrations by professional wallers, discover more about our educational courses and qualifications ranging from hobbyist to professional, and challenge the young ones on our kid’s wall.
Musical Illuminations - Saturday 29th 7pm-9pm
An opportunity to enjoy listening to live music amongst the illuminated walls and features. BYO food, drink, and a chair!
